Indie / Folk

Indie folk is a genre of music that mostly involves "independent" artists. It's primary focus is on progressive folk music. I started getting into this genre over the past couple years and have grown to like it more and more each day.

What I find most interesting about Indie folk is the story telling nature of it. If it's Fiction or Non-Fiction doesn't matter, the artists seem to have a real ability of putting the listener into the shoes of the characters. Making the music and songs much more personal and self-reflecting.
